Northampton County: How many students were enrolled in Northampton High School in 2023-24 school year?

Northampton High School had the highest enrollment among Northampton County schools, welcoming 420 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 57.4% of them were male, and 42.6% were female.

The most represented ethnicity among Northampton High School students was Black, accounting for 40.5% of the student population.

Among the four schools in Northampton County, Occohannock Elementary School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 368 students, while Kiptopeke Elementary School welcomed 325 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Northampton High School is part of Northampton County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Northampton County, with its main office in Eastville.

In the previous school year, Northampton High School also had the highest number of students among Northampton County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
