98 students were enrolled for 11th-grade in Northampton County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 98 11th-grade students enrolled in Northampton County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 14% fewer than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Northampton High School was the only school that welcomed 11th-grade students in the county.

Within Northampton County schools, the largest number of students were found in 7th-grade, while pre-kindergarten had the least students.

Statewide, Northampton County ranked 111th in enrollment numbers. It was ranked 110th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
