Swim & dive kickstarts Hokie Belt Challenge

The Virginia Tech swim & dive team will begin their annual Hokie Belt Challenge at their intrasquad meets Friday & Saturday.

The Hokie Belt Challenge is a tradition started in the 2019 season where the team is split up into a maroon and orange squad. This year-long competition consists of a point system that takes into account GPA, inner squad meets, attendance, physical challenges, drive for 25, discipline and the Hokie Spirit Award.

The program has a physical maroon and orange Hokie Belt on display in the common area for the athletes. Each year, a new plague is added to represent the winning team.

The Hokies begin this challenge at their intrasquad meet this Friday and Saturday. The team starts at 12 pm on Friday and 8 am on Saturday.
