Vehicle Safety Recalls Week.

30

Vehicle Safety Recalls Week.

One in five vehicles on the road today has an open safety recall

in urgent need of repair. Often times, drivers of older or used

vehicles are not aware their vehicle is under a safety recall,

putting themselves and their passengers at risk of serious injury or death.

Help us increase awareness of the dangers of unrepaired vehicle safety recalls and educate drivers about the importance of completing FREE

vehicle safety recall repair.

CALLS TO ACTION

We have two ways vehicle owners can check for recalls:

1. Visit CheckToProtect.org and enter your license plate number or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Your VIN is a 17-character ID found on your driver's side

dashboard, on the driver's side door, and on most vehicle registration and insurance documents.

2. Text "RECALL" (or "REVISA" for information in Spanish)

to 99724 and send in a photo of the vehicles license plate.

Vehicle owners will be notified immediately of any open vehicle

safety recalls and directed to schedule a free repair at their

nearest authorized dealership.
