Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
A Christmas Carol Staged Reading

Chincoteague Island Theatre Company’s first live and indoor performance since February 2020: A staged reading of the 1843 classic, dramatic tale by Charles Dickens – adapted for the stage by Elizabeth Dook, directed by Lexi Hubb, and produced with the help of Chincoteague Island Arts Organization and Island Community House.
Two performances will be at the Island Theater, 4074 Main Street, Chincoteague, on Saturday, December 18 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 19 at 2:00 pm.
Also, A Dickens Christmas Reception is available on 12/18: Before the play at 6 pm, enjoy traditional Victorian holiday fare with a Chincoteague spin catered by local celebrity chefs in the CIAO Annex (next to the Island Theater). Cash bar on site. Full menu listed at ChincoteagueCA.org.
