Riverside Health System is expanding expertise in pulmonary and critical care medicine with the addition of Alexander Schult, M.D. to its growing team of specialists in Riverside Medical Group. Board-certified and fellowship trained in pulmonology and critical care medicine, Dr. Schult joins Riverside Pulmonary Specialists Eastern Shore with over 20 years of experience.
After earning his Doctor of Medicine from the National University of Ireland, Galway School of Medicine, Dr. Schult completed his residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical College in New York. He subsequently completed fellowships in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Tulane Medical School and Louisiana State University and is board certified in both pulmonary and critical care medicine.

With years of expertise across the vast array of pulmonary conditions, Dr. Schult has particular interests in COPD, asthma, lung cancer, pleural effusions, pulmonary nodules and pulmonary fibrosis/interstitial lung disease. In the hospital, Dr. Schult performs bronchoscopies, provides consults and manages critical care patients.
