Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 14

Riverside Behavioral Health Center is proud to extend its capabilities to include an addiction intensive outpatient program. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a therapy-led model providing immediate support for those with addiction issues and coping skills for relapse prevention.

“As we continuously look for ways to remain a valuable source of and provide high-quality care for our community, we found a growing need for outpatient services to support addiction rehabilitation. That is why we created IOP to support those fighting alcohol and drug addiction” said Stacey Johnson, Vice President, Riverside Behavioral Health Center. “We’re proud to provide this step-by-step recovery program for patients with the peace of mind that they have access to the best services in the area. With the addition of IOP, we continue to abide by our mission: to care for others as we would care for those we love — to enhance their health and well-being. We want our patients to know that we are here to support them.”

IOP will offer both inpatient detox and outpatient programs that meet the personal needs of each patient. With a therapy-led model, IOP provides immediate support with addiction issues and coping skills for relapse prevention.

“At Riverside Behavioral Health Center, we know fighting alcohol or drug addiction takes a team of support, including specialty-trained health professionals, individualized step-by-step programs and a supportive environment to begin healing and recovery. Our goal is to ensure the community is receiving the highest-quality care possible for addiction rehabilitation, which is why I’m extremely excited for IOP,” said Bianca Munce, Director of Outpatient and Addiction Services. “We’re proud to offer this unique program for our community and support their needs as they begin their recovery journey.”

IOP will begin accepting referrals on Thursday, September 23 and the program will begin on Monday, September 27 at Riverside Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, VA. The program is four days a week from 9:00 a.m. until noon.  For more information, visit riversideonline.com/rbhc.
