Keith C Blowe has received the endorsement of RED PAC, a group that seeks to elect conservatives at the local level, in his run for the Sussex County Board of Supervisors during the Nov. 7 elections. Blowe earned the RED PAC endorsement based on his fiscal responsibility, commitments to conserve private property rights, advocacy for rural economic development, and commitment to government transparency.

Sussex County is holding elections on Tuesday, November 7. This includes the Board of Supervisor elections, which will elect members for six districts, plus one tiebreaker. Terms are for four years.

Keith C. Blowe is running for the Board of Supervisors to represent Courthouse District. He is running as an Independent.

In a 2017 interview with the Virginia Association of Counties, Blowe said that his primary motivation for initially running for office was his desire to improve what he saw as a lack of effective communications technology for Sussex County residents. He also cited economic development, infrastructure, and training/education for the workforce as top concerns for the community. He also emphasized his concern for veterans and commitment to policies that would improve the lives of men and women who have served.

According to the platform X, in a release announcing the group’s endorsement of Blowe, and other candidates throughout Virginia, Kevin Gardner, Executive Director of RED PAC said “these candidates embody core conservative principles. Their unwavering commitment to transparency, fiscal prudence, and local economic advancement will surely benefit their constituencies.”

The Board of Supervisors is charged with working with other members of the local government on establishing public policies as well as allocating resources for public safety, educational development, and community development.

From 2016 to 2020, Blowe served on the Board of Supervisors as vice-chair and represented the Stony Creek District.

According to LinkedIn, Blowe, a retired Army Colonel, is President and CEO of BLW-SOLUTIONS, which specializes in security, IT, project/program management, and training.
