It’s National Physical Therapist Month!

Riverside Health System recently issued the following announcement.

Meet Taylor Coleman, LPTA. She is one of our skilled physical therapy assistants at Patriots Colony in Williamsburg. Her journey to become a physical therapist was unexpected but evolved into something remarkable.

“As a teenager, I had an orthopedic operation and as I began healing, I found that I could no longer move my foot. I went to physical therapy and within the first session, I was able to wiggle my big toe,” says Coleman. “My PTA and I cried together and I knew from that moment that I wanted to be in the PT field. This is why I choose PT, for all the toe wiggles, to first steps, or standing up for the first time again.”
