Coastal Virginia Building Industry Association Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit foundation that was established in 1965 by association members who wanted to give back to their community. Since that time, the foundation has provided more than 1.8 million in financial assistance to hundreds of area students who have a genuine financial need and want to further their education. in 2022, five $10,000 scholarships (distributed over a four-year period) were awarded. The recipient selection is based upon academic success, financial need, extra-curricular activities and community involvement.
