Town of Cape Charles issued the following announcement on Feb. 4

The Cape Charles Town Council will be holding TWO Town Hall Meetings regarding the potential sale of the public utilities under the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act (PPEA).

The first Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 16th, beginning at 6:30 PM at the Civic Center located at 500 Tazewell  Avenue.

The second Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Saturday,  February 19th, beginning at 2:00 PM, also at the Civic Center.

We hope that you will be able to attend one of these meetings.  This is your opportunity to hear the facts, ask questions, and provide your input.  Although we will be streaming these meetings on  Facebook, the Facebook viewers will have no opportunity for interaction.  Also, the audio system at the Civic Center is not equipped to adequately capture all comments from members of the audience as this is an informal meeting and audience members will not be required to come to the podium to speak.

Thank you.  We look forward to seeing you at one of the meetings.
